A short page on purpose
Reserve what is open: vacation package availability from Cincinnati
Go Air Travels keeps no sale page and holds no rate of its own to give away. What this page can say is narrower and more useful: which stays are open, what each one starts from per person, and how many hours of road one night of it has to carry.
Nothing is held here until the office has written back and you have said yes to what it wrote. No part of a stay is ever paid for through these pages.
Why there is no sale here
The office owns no rooms and holds no block of beds. Every figure in the list arrives from the company at the far end of the drive and is passed along unchanged. There is nothing of this office inside a figure, so there is nothing of this office to take off it.
What stands in place of a sale is the vacation package availability from Cincinnati itself: the stays that are open, the road measured to each one, and a figure per person that a supplier set. When a week is gone, the reply says it is gone instead of nudging a reader toward something else.
A figure can sit differently in one month than in another, because the far end prices its own quiet weeks and its own busy ones. The office repeats what it is quoted and does not dress the difference up as an offer.
Send the number of nights first
Nights come before dates, before the state and before the figure. The list is ordered by the hours of driving that one night has to carry, so the number of nights decides which part of it is worth reading at all.
A window works better than a single day. Given a week to move inside, the office can put the question to the far end more than once and come back with what is open now, rather than with what was open when a page was written.
The form takes a note at any hour. A person reads it later and answers in writing, naming every line that sits inside the figure and every line that does not.
Order on the list is not a price
The one order in the list is the quotient: measured hours at the wheel divided by the nights that have to carry them. It describes the drive, not the money. A stay near the top of the list can carry a larger figure than one near the bottom, and often does.
So reading the list from the top down to find a smaller number is wasted effort. Read it to decide how much of the trip you are willing to spend behind the wheel, then look at the figures inside that band.
Nothing on this page is dressed up
No clock runs down in a corner. No tally of who else is reading, no note about what somebody reserved an hour ago, no line telling anyone to move quickly. A stay that suits a reader in March will suit them in April, and a page that pretends otherwise is selling the pressure rather than the bed.
No stars, no marks out of ten, no prizes on a wall. The office arranges no transport whatever, so nothing of that sort is on offer here either at any figure: the reader takes their own car, and what gets reserved is the bed, the guide or the permit waiting at the end of the road.
Nothing is reserved until the office has written back with the figure in full and you have agreed to it in writing.
Start with the number of nights
Tell the office how many nights you have. Everything else follows from that number, including whether the drive is worth making at all.
